Summary:
As a Business Development Specialist – Social, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Social Element’s client base by connecting brands with our specialized social media services. Acting as the first point of contact for potential clients, you will introduce them to our unique blend of social intelligence, community management, brand protection, and technology-driven solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to generate and set qualified appointments for our Account Executives (AEs), ensuring a seamless handoff of high potential opportunities. By understanding each prospect’s social media challenges, you will demonstrate how Social Element’s services—such as social listening, crisis management, content moderation, and strategic consultancy—can help protect and grow their brand online. Through your outreach, you will showcase our community-driven ethos and innovative strategies, positioning Social Element as a trusted partner for leading global brands.
Essential Job Functions:
Proactively research and identify new business prospects that align with Social Element’s values and service offerings.
Initiate contact with potential clients via email, phone, LinkedIn, and social channels.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads, understanding their needs and challenges in the social media landscape.
Clearly articulate Social Element’s value proposition, services, and case studies to prospective clients.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop targeted outreach strategies.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and pipeline activity in the CRM.
Stay up-to-date with social media trends, industry news, and competitor activity.
Represent Social Element’s community-driven ethos and commitment to making social media better for brands.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
1-2 years of previous sales experience. (preferably in digital marketing, social media, or agency environments).
Proficient O365 experience (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
Proficient in sales tools including Outreach, Zoom, Gong, and Salesforce.
Ability to articulate and resolve prospective client challenges and objections.
Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies and market trends.
Passion for social media, technology, and brand growth.
Ability to work collaboratively in a global, diverse team.
